Minty fresh, fresh and so clean, like JB!

Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver.

This polish is an amazingly chic turquoise green almost like a mint. The polish was fairly streaky and I put two coats with no top coat but I feel 3 coats would have done it. I had to post a picture of the sticker on the brush handle! No surprise, it clearly labeled that it had the 'perfect stroke' brush! I was excited!

It also came with this! This polish is from the One Less Lonely Girl Collection created with Justin Bieber. OMG is it not a sign or is it? Lol. Sorry I just can't help myself when it comes to JB. Just recently I discovered this about myself lol. Look at the picture below, wouldn't you love to be serenaded by him! You have to admit it! Admit it! JB haters. My sister is rolling her eyes at me. GO JB!

Purplicious and Lycheelicious!

This polish reminded me of another I had before called Domestic Goddess from the Sephora by OPI line. I would be so delighted to do a swatch comparison EXCEPT I have none left so I shall post a picture:

Back to the newbie! Through the Grapevine by Wet n Wild Megalast nail color, two coats and no top coat. LOVE LOVE LOVE this color. I like purple. And this one makes me feel tropical lol. Another time I felt tropical was during my work shift a tourist asked to sample the flavor Lychee. He had never tasted Lychee before!! I was in shock and in pain for he had never tasted the awesomeness of lychee! Poor him. Anyway, this is like a magenta more blue than red. Another picture!!

Mouth-watering goodness! Don't your eyes just go ga-ga when you see that?? :D

The grass isn't always greener..

This polish is! This polish definitely caught my eye. Grass Slipper is from the same collection as Thinking of Blue I did earlier, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, two coats no top coat, very pigmented. Now I know what they mean by complete salon manicure, the wider-easier applier brush! How awesome is this brush? If you haven't tried it, the next time you pick out a polish, check the brush! Anyway, this might be a fun one for the toes. Picture time:

All Good Things Come in Threes!

This is a set of polishes I purchased from Kmart a few days ago, the brand is Revlon and I had really high hopes. I was in Kmart because I was searching for a particular red polish when I came across this set and I thought perfect! I love purple, who doesn't love gold sparkly, and the red! The first color I tried was Rock Star, a dark dusty purple. The next was Gold Coin, softer golden metallic color, almost like a silver too. And lastly the red, I really liked the red, it's not Revlon Red but Ruby, candy apple red but a hint darker. Overall this set was perfect for me although, I like purple, but maybe not as a nail polish. All swatches above were two coats + a top coat. Shopping tomorrow! More good things to come!

Pretty In Pink.

I must say that when I wear pink nail polish I feel the most girly. The pink shown here is by Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Posh Pink, two coats and a top coat. Posh Pink is a shiny darker hot pink almost like a magenta. This color's name reminded me of the Spice Girls! I was posh, lol. After I had purchased this nail polish, Brandon and I were driving home, I mentioned to him the name of the polish and how "I was posh." He was silent. I then asked him if he remembered the Spice Girls and he shook his head 'no' and then instantly after, almost at the same time he was shaking his head no, he started belting out the lyrics to Wannabe!

♬"If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends,
Make it last forever friendship never ends,
If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give,
Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is."♬

Feeling Blue!

Yesterday was my day off so I'm feeling blue I have to take off this color today :( This was a really awesome application and color! What you see here is two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Thinking of Blue plus a top coat. This nail polish has a wider easy applicator which makes it super easy to apply and makes the polish look less streaky. This is an easy, shiny blue.

For somewhat the reason why I chose this blue, is partly because my boyfriend Brandon bought we a new Hobo wallet! Yay! And when I did this manicure it was the day before and I had seen a really cute blue wallet on their website so I thought I would be really cute and match my manicure (I rarely match my polish to what I'm wearing :/).

Although I did not end up getting that particular wallet, I had an awesome manicure and a different more awesome wallet!!

Let me explain!

Nicky's Nail's Day Off is a blog about me and my day off.. who'd a thought? Anyway, I work at an ice cream parlor, which does not allow its employee's to wear nail polish for fear it may chip into the ice cream and appear in a customers ice cream cone! So, on my day off (which changes weekly) I will post my daily manicure, for you to see and also for me to remember because unfortunately I have to take it off at the end of the day :( :( :(

P.S. Thanks for sharing my day off with me!
